"Clean the Beach" Event on September 20th at La Jolla Shores

LA JOLLA SHORES along with other coastal beaches will hold its "Clean the Beach" day this Saturday, Beach TrashSeptember 20th from 9 am to 12 noon.  This annual event is sponsored by San Diego Coastkeeper and I Love a Clean San Diego.  The event is scheduled at La Jolla Shores, Del Mar's Powerhouse Beach, the trailhead on Rios Avenue at the San Elijo Lagoon, the campgrounds at San Elijo State Beach, Torrey Pines/Penasquitos Lagoon, Cardiff Seaside Beach, San Dieguito Lagoon/Dog Beach and Tourmaline Beach/Pacific Beach.

Last year, beach lovers gathered up more than 94,000 pounds of trash and recyclable materials during the three-hour event.  Bring your family and help with the beach clean up for all residents of San Diego!  For information or to register for the event click here.
